This role will be responsible for federal, state and international tax consulting. The successful applicant will work with multiple business units and external parties related to potential deals, acquisitions, and international new market entries, in conjunction with financial management within the Company and 3rd party service providers and tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities, which include crafting and implementing financial structures, mergers and acquisitions assistance, as well as transfer pricing strategies. Other assignments include conducting detailed valuation analysis initiatives, creating financial models to forecast what if scenarios, preparing and presenting findings to executive management, partnering with accounting, legal, and corporate development teams on strategy.Essential Position duties Lead identification and implementation of value-adding tax strategies, including federal, state and international tax. Supervise tax manager. Research and resolve miscellaneous tax questions on a broad spectrum of topics (Corporate and International tax, Compensation and Benefits taxation, property tax, VAT, etc). Oversight of federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support. Oversight of the tax returns for the Company s international subsidiaries. Responsible for use and property tax functions. Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings. Research and provide advice to the business on international tax matters such as executive and stock compensation, business expansions and restructurings, dividend repatriation and foreign tax credit compliance, maintain intercompany agreements Responsible for accounting for income taxes ASC 740 (formally SFAS No. 109) in the US and International subsidiaries. Coordination of accounting for income taxes for international subsidiaries with 3rd party vendors. Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements. Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues. Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes. Assisting the CFO with tax planning issues as required. Maintain and manage SOX policies and procedures, structuring transactions, divestitures and other special projects Manage implementations of tax planning projects and the integration of target companies into company's tax operations process. Monitor company's transfer pricing policies and related documentation. Liaise with company's foreign operations on tax matters related to their operations (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) Conduct extensive communication with company leadership across business functions (Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Financial Planning, Human Resources, Operations). Requirements Bachelor s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting. CPA with ten + years of Public/Consulting experience or public/private experience with well rounded tax knowledge (domestic and international) Big four experience strongly preferred.
